Introduction
Vortex OpenSplice is the leading (commercial and Open Source) implementation of the
Object Management Group's (OMG) Data Distribution Service (DDS) for Real-Time

The Vortex OpenSplice components are located in the following sub-directories
of the installation:

bin - contains Vortex OpenSplice executables.

custom_lib - contains source code of the C++, ISO C++ and Java
language binding, for the customer to re-build to
ensure compliance with platform/compiler.

demos - contains demos for Vortex OpenSplice.

docs - contains the documentation set and release notes for
Vortex OpenSplice.

etc - the default location for the license file and
configuration file(s). In case of the HDE, the
templates for code generation are also located in this
directory.

examples - contains code examples (for all supported DDS
languages) demonstrating the use of Vortex OpenSplice.

include - contains all Vortex OpenSplice header files.

jar - contains all JAVA archives for Vortex OpenSplice API's and
Vortex OpenSplice tools.

lib - contains all Vortex OpenSplice library files.

redist - depending on the platform this directory contains
redistributable packages needed by Vortex OpenSplice. These
packages are automatically installed.

src - contains the source code for the open source components of
Vortex OpenSplice that was used to build the Vortex OpenSplice libraries,
jars, executables, etc of the installed version.

tools - contains useful tools/utilities for use with Vortex OpenSplice.

release.xxx - running this script in your current shell will
setup the Vortex OpenSplice environment, where
.xxx = .com for Unix and .bat for Windows.
